Faith
At SPPS, faith is at the heart of everything we do.
Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade participate in daily religion instruction, building a strong foundation in Catholic teachings, values, and prayer life. Students also attend Mass twice a week, giving them the opportunity to actively participate in the liturgy and grow in their understanding of the church. In addition, students gather with their class once a month for Adoration, providing a quiet and reverent space for prayer, reflection, and a deeper relationship with Christ.
A special part of our faith journey takes place in 2nd grade, where Catholic students are prepared for and guided through the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. This preparation is done in partnership with the Parish Faith Formation program at the church, the second-grade teacher, and families to ensure a meaningful and prayerful sacramental experience.
Through these experiences, students are formed not only academically, but spiritually - growing in faith, service, and love of God and others.
