Saintly Service Program
Service with a Purpose
The Saintly Service Program provides parents, guardians, and grandparents with an opportunity to partner with SPPS while earning an annual tuition discount. Families with students in 1st-5th grade may receive a tuition discount by completing 30 volunteer service hours throughout the school year in support of our students, teachers, and school community.
Service opportunities are shared regularly throughout the year by the school office; however, families are also encouraged to contact their child's teacher for additional ways to serve. Volunteer hours are tracked on a semester basis, with half of the required hours due by school-designated deadlines in the 2nd & 4th nine weeks. Logging of Saintly Service Program hours is completed by the family in their FACTS Family Portal.
Families who do not complete or fail to log the required hours by the established deadlines will be billed through FACTS for the difference between the number of hours completed and the applicable tuition discount rate. The Saintly Service Program is a wonderful way to become involved in school life while helping strengthen our faith-filled community.

Saintly Service Program FAQs
How do I log my hours?
Families will log hours in their FACTS Family Portal. Once logged in, navigate to the "Family" section. Click "+" next to "Service Hours" and fill out the required information to log your hours.
How do I find volunteer opportunities?
Volunteer opportunities are shared throughout the school year by the school office. Families are also encouraged to contact their child's teacher for additional ways to serve.
What types of volunteer work count?
A variety of service opportunities may qualify, including assisting teachers, helping with school events, preparing classroom materials, chaperoning activities, and other approved volunteer needs. If you are unsure whether an opportunity qualifies, please contact the school office before volunteering.
Are there any hours that I can log every year?
Yes. In order to volunteer, you must be Safe Environment Certified. Families can log 5 volunteer hours every school year for being Safe Environment Compliant.
Can I make up missed hours later in the year?
Hours must be completed by the designated semester deadlines. Once a deadline has passed, any applicable charges will be assessed according to the program guidelines.
What if I get more than 30 hours during the year?
That's great! Any overage from the current school year can be carried over and applied to the following school year's requirement. Overage only carries over for one calendar school year. It is the family's responsibility to log overage hours at the beginning of the new school year in the FACTS Family Portal.
What if I can't volunteer during the school day?
A number of volunteer opportunities are available outside of regular school hours, including evening events and projects that can be completed from home. The school office will send these opportunities out when they become available, or you can reach out to your child's teacher for additional opportunities.
Can multiple family members share the volunteer hours?
Yes. Eligible parents, guardians, and grandparents may combine their volunteer hours to meet the family's 30-hour requirement.
Why does the school have the Saintly Service Program?
The program strengthens our school community by encouraging families to share their time and talents. Volunteers play an important role in supporting our students, teachers, and school events, making SPPS an even stronger faith-filled community.
Do I have to be in the Saintly Service Program in order to volunteer?
No. Even if your family is not enrolled in the Saintly Service Program, you may still volunteer!
